Nitrous oxide is a colorless, odorless gas which is simply inhaled prior to and during dental procedures. The gas has no long-term side effects and is an excellent resource for patients who may have dental anxiety such as in small children.
Our team is highly trained in administering nitrous oxide to young patients, and we administer just the right amount to help your child relax during dentistry procedures such as fillings and extractions. The gas will be administered before and during treatment, and it will help substantially with pain and anxiety. Nitrous oxide is used as an adjunct to local anesthesia.
